Master Chirhart shared my words today in court. I wish I could have been there, but life obligations would not allow me to attend Pennsic this year. I wish I could have been there to say this in person and to welcome you to our Order Cairistiona. We have catching up to do when I see you next. For now I will share my words for those that were not present at her elevation ceremony:
Today is a day of mixed blessings. I am deeply sadden that I
cannot stand before all of you to speak these words in person, for Baroness
Cairistiona de Coueran, she is someone I hold near and dear to my heart. But it
brings joy and happiness to my heart that she is being recognized to join our
beloved Order, the Order of the Pelican.
Cairistiona is someone that I have always looked to and
depended on for assistance and support. She has always offered her assistance to
me with a smile in her heart. I was a very new Kingdom Youth Officer, at my first
Pennsic, running my first Children’s Fete, in a year where it had to be very
special to hold dear Duchess Arielle’s legacy. Cairistiona was there to help me
then and in the years to come as we made changes to help make our children safer
when they were attending the Fete.
She has always been a go-to person for me. I trust her
deeply – because when she says she will get something done - I know it will be
done and it will be done right. She has also always been a friend that offers
kind words, a smile, and a hug when needed. Cairistiona is a driven, caring,
and dedicated asset to our Kingdom and Society.
I charge her to move forward today holding her love for her
Kingdom, the Society, and her service. To do so, always, with love and
friendship in her heart. To share of herself with others through her service by mentoring and teaching others with a tender guiding hand.
I am sorry that I am not here today to see your elevation in
person. But know I look forward to seeing you as the loving and dedicated Peer
I know you are. You are my Peer.
With much Love and Friendship,
Meisterin Emeludt Hansler, OP
